Ocean State Job Lot in Brunswick, ME is opening a new store and seeks a Facilities Associate to keep the store clean, safe, and functional. You’ll handle interior and exterior upkeep, report hazards, and support merchandising and customer service as needed.

This role offers a 30% associate discount and comprehensive benefits; you must have facilities experience and be able to lift up to 35 lbs in a climate-controlled retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior facilities experience is required.
• Experience in a retail environment or customer service is preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and maintain floors.
• Empty waste containers and dispose of interior trash.
• Check and maintain bathroom, breakroom and other supplies.
• Keep approaches to buildings clear of debris and obstructions.
• Ensure safe, clean work areas and properly labeled cleaning supplies.
• Assist with merchandising tasks and operate a cash register as needed.
• Communicate issues to store leadership promptly.
