Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Facilities Associate to uphold a clean, safe, and functional store environment. Responsibilities include interior and exterior upkeep, reporting hazards, and helping with merchandising tasks and customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior facilities experience is required.
• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and dispose of debris.
• Maintain restroom and breakroom supply levels.
• Keep approaches to buildings clear of debris and obstructions.
• Ensure all work areas are safe and organized; label and store cleaning supplies.
• Provide exceptional service to OSJL customers on the sales floor and at point of sale.
• Assist with merchandising tasks like stocking, displays, and pricing; operate a cash register as needed.
