Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Facilities Associate to maintain clean, safe store environments and support merchandising and guest service.

Responsibilities include floor care, trash removal, bathroom supply checks, and reporting hazards to leadership, with a focus on safeguarding store property. The role offers a strong benefit package including PTO, health coverage, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Prior facilities experience is required.
• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
• Empty waste containers and dispose of trash and debris.
• Check and maintain bathroom, breakroom and supply levels.
• Keep approaches to buildings clear of debris and obstructions.
• Ensure safe, clean, and orderly work areas and labeled cleaning supplies.
• Provide exceptional service on the sales floor and at the point of sale.
• Assist with merchandising tasks and operate a cash register as needed.
