Ocean State Job Lot in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Facilities Associate to maintain a clean, safe store environment and support merchandising. You will perform interior and exterior upkeep, report hazards, and assist with stocking and pricing while delivering exceptional guest service.

The role requires prior facilities experience, and offers a competitive benefits package including PTO, health coverage, and 401K. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior facilities experience is required.
• Experience in a retail environment or customer service is preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
• Empty waste containers and manage interior trash.
• Check and maintain bathroom, break-room, and supply needs.
• Keep building approaches clear of debris and obstructions.
• Ensure safe, clean storage and work areas; label and store cleaning supplies.
• Provide exceptional service on the sales floor and at the point of sale.
• Assist with merchandising tasks including stocking, displays, and pricing.
