Position Summary
As a member of the Ripken Experience retail team, you will work under the direction of the Retail and Operations Coordinator. Your duties will include checkout, stocking, organizing, inventory, cleaning, maintaining visual presentation of merchandise, and providing world‑class customer service to teams and families that enter our complex.
Key Responsibilities
- Ring in sales and assist customers in our retail shop.
- Routinely clean, disinfect, and polish fixtures, displays, and shelving in the shop.
- Greet, assist, and share product knowledge with customers to create a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
- Perform routine inventory counts, audits, and receive orders.
- Organize merchandise, apparel, and novelties on shelves and restock as needed.
- Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by Manager/Director/Lead on duty.
- Assist in other areas of the business.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma, current high‑school attendance, or GED.
- Ability to work during the day or evening as determined by supervisor.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic.
Preferred:
- 1–3 years of retail work experience.
- Experience resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Experience engaging with diverse customers and creating a positive shopping experience.
Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements
- Routinely required to work extended hours, including weekdays, nights, and weekends.
- Must be able to move quickly to assist customers.
- Reach for high‑placed boxes and items, handle or feel objects or controls, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb stairs.
- Routinely lift or move up to 50 pounds at least 20% of the time.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions, dust and particles, and loud noises.
