Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Area Manager to plan and lead store operations across the assigned region in the United States, with full P&L responsibility and alignment to company objectives. You will drive sales growth, optimize inventory, develop and recruit store teams, and ensure excellent customer service while traveling weekly in a company vehicle.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of retail management experience, a Bachelor's degree (preferred), and a proven ability to manage budgets,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated results-oriented leadership including the ability to model total development and serve as a steward of Dollar General's mission and values.
• Demonstrated record of achieving performance goals and objectives.
• Financial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and other financial reporting data, manage budgets, and control inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation with full P&L responsibility.
• Foster a culture that supports Dollar General's mission and values.
• Drive area annual sales growth to meet or exceed targets through effective planning and execution.
• Ensure strong inventory presentation and management across stores.
• Recruit, train and develop store personnel to maximize performance and customer service.
• Communicate divisional and regional priorities to store teams clearly and timely.
