Job summary

Clarks seeks a Retail District Sales Manager to lead a multi-store district in the United States, driving sales, staffing, and store operations. You will supervise Area and Store Managers, coach staff, and ensure strategic plans are executed across the district with a hands-on approach.

The role requires retail leadership experience, preferably in footwear or fashion apparel, and the ability to travel frequently. Excellent communication and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Regular store visits to execute retail plans and maximize sales and profits.
• Supervise Area Managers and Store Managers across the district.
• Travel 3–4 days weekly to support stores and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct store visits to ensure execution of strategic retail plans.
• Direct supervision of Area Managers and Store Managers across the district.
• Communicate expectations and monitor performance weekly.
• Use reporting to optimize schedules and sales per hour targets.
• Ensure openings/closures are executed on time with staffing/
• Develop a high-performing store management team and set objectives.
• Stay aware of operational, market conditions and consumer needs.
