Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking an assistant manager-level candidate to assist in department management, maximize financial opportunities, and cover manager responsibilities as needed. You will sell products, operate cash registers, and uphold store standards and safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least six months of Fred Meyer experience and one–two years in retail; you must be 18/19 in Alaska, pass a drug test, and be willing to work weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• Min. HS diploma or GED plus 6 months Fred Meyer experience and 1–2 years related retail experience.
• Must be 18 (19 in Alaska); able to pass a drug test; able to work weekends/nights.
• Familiarity with industry terms; occasional travel may be required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Sell products to customers and perform cashier functions.
• Maintain compliance with store policies, safety guidelines and standards.
• Respond to customer comments/requests and file incident reports when necessary.
• Process salvage and donations; promote company initiatives.
• Work with associates to keep break rooms and training areas inviting.
