Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to oversee assigned departments, manage inventory, and ensure an orderly, compliant shopping environment. You will execute price changes, uphold planograms, and lead staff in delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, assisting customers, operating retail equipment, and participating in cross-training. This role requires flexibility in hours and a strong commitment to Rural King values.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address issues quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy in tasks and records.
• Comfortable using computer systems to assist customers.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible hours with a 40-hour workweek and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain displays.
• Monitor inventory and conduct stock counts; replenish as needed.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep the department neat and appealing.
• Coordinate price changes and update labels and signage.
• Manage playbook features and planogram sets per guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe, orderly work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers.
• Support front-end tasks like processing transactions as needed.
• Use general office equipment (phone, copier, fax, calculator, computer).
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders and retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training for departmental flexibility.
• Engage in learning initiatives and training programs.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support.
• Demonstrate Rural King values in daily work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
