Job summary

NIKE, Inc. in Queenstown, MD is seeking a Department Manager (Coach) to lead a high‑volume retail team in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll focus on customer service, staff development, and store growth initiatives while upholding NIKE’s Service Principles and community engagement. You will recruit, train, and coach a diverse team, drive daily operations, budgeting, and merchandising, and partner with leadership to deliver strong store performance.

Qualifications

• Three years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, build and lead high-performing teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time with or without accommodations.
• Proven ability to utilize tools for conflict resolution and employee coaching.
• Able to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team that keeps store functions running seamlessly.
• Ensuring the store is staffed by attracting, assessing and onboarding teammates.
• Equip store employees with tools needed to succeed day-to-day.
• Leading the store's team and business results, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, and people management.
• Managing product life cycle from stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor.
