Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a store associate at LI-RIVERHEAD, NY. You will deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience.

You will participate in unloading trucks, stocking, and maintaining a well-merchandised, in-stock store, while supporting omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store. Nights, weekends, and early mornings expected.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move about the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, and reaching, including heavy boxes.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and cash handling to standards.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Maintain stock, recover merchandise, and manage returns/go-backs.
• Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD sets as assigned.
• Assist shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs.
