Job summary

Dollar Tree in Garden Grove, CA is hiring a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain store cleanliness and safety.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions with customers and teammates, while following store procedures. Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
