Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Orangevale, California is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience in retail or related fields. You will work part-time, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and contribute to a positive, safe store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions and operate assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms.
• Other duties as assigned.
