Job summary

G&M Oil Company Inc. is seeking a retail associate to provide excellent customer service, handle sales transactions, and maintain a clean store environment. You will operate the POS, assist customers, and participate in promotions across shifts within the district.

The role requires basic math, English communication, and the ability to learn quickly; a Food Handlers Permit may be required by store/county. Open availability across all shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills / competency in PDI Enterprise POS (evaluation required).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little or no supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
• Have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS and cash register to handle money and payments accurately.
• Conduct sales transactions and participate in promotions; practice suggestive selling.
• Check identification for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Stock shelves, assist customers, and ensure product availability and correct pricing.
