Job summary

Dollar Tree in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and safe.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. This is a part-time, frontline position with opportunities for growth and team support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, and manual tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
