Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. This role involves assisting customers, processing transactions, restocking merchandise, unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment in Deerfield, IL.

The position is part-time, with responsibilities across daily store operations and customer service. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and strong interpersonal,

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
