Job summary

Michaels is seeking a team member for our Sarasota, FL store who will help customers, manage checkout, and support omnichannel processes. The role involves stocking, truck unloading, and maintaining a well‑merchandised, in‑stock store while upholding safety and SOPs.

You will engage customers about rewards and card enrollments and service with a friendly, positive attitude. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, are able to stand for long periods, and can lift/move boxes as

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Lift/move heavy boxes and access high shelves as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys and Omni‑channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) maintenance.
• Maintain in‑stock store through merchandise recovery and go back process.
• Support SISO and AD set duties and shrink/safety programs.
• Follow SOPs and company policies; act as a role model for team members.
