Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring at the Queens-Woodside, NY store to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout.

Team Members participate in unloading trucks, stocking, and store recovery to maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock store. Responsibilities include assisting customers, promoting rewards programs, and supporting omnichannel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Michaels Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and Ship From Store.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and store recovery to maintain an in-stock, well-merchandised store.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; promote a positive image and teamwork.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
