Job summary

Michaels is seeking a friendly, customer-focused associate for the McAllen, TX store. You will help customers locate products, process fast checkouts with standard cash handling, and enroll shoppers in rewards and private label programs.

You will also support omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS), unload trucks, stock shelves, maintain planograms, and assist with store recovery to keep products in-stock and well presented. Must be 16 or older and willing to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
• Public retail store experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain in-store recovery and ensure well-merchandised, in-stock conditions; handle returns/go backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
