Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Dixmoor, IL is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, ring up sales, and maintain a clean, welcoming store.

You will assist customers with questions, stock shelves, unload trucks, and ensure safety and accuracy at the register.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, teamwork, and reliability; prior retail experience is preferred and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
