Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Chicago, IL seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, handle transactions at the register, maintain clean and stocked aisles, and help unload merchandise.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or customer service experience; physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
