Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Maine to assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain store standards. The role involves stocking, unloading merchandise, and ensuring a clean, safe shopping environment.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The store offers flexible hours and a team-oriented atmosphere. This is a part-time opportunity supporting daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
