Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of South Carolina LLC in Branchville, SC seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly service, handle cash transactions, stock shelves, and maintain clean, safe store conditions. You will assist customers, follow directions, and contribute to a positive shopping experience across shifts.

Experience in retail or similar settings is preferred; the role requires good communication, physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, and teamwork with store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and assist with unloading trucks.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
