Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Massachusetts LLC seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at our store. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage cash transactions, and maintain a friendly, safe environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong customer service abilities, the physical capacity to lift 30–50 lbs, and solid communication. A high school diploma is preferred and prior retail or service experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
