Job summary

Family Dollar in Coloma, MI is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, and safeguard store assets while keeping shelves stocked and merchandise replenished.

This role requires a high school diploma (preferred), prior retail or service experience, good follow-through on instructions, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
