Job summary

Family Dollar in Walkerville, Michigan is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, and manage sales transactions at the register while ensuring cash security.

This part-time position maintains store cleanliness, stocks shelves, unloads trucks, and ensures a safe, friendly environment. You will follow instructions, handle merchandise, and perform other duties as assigned to support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash
• Other duties as assigned
