Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience in Hawthorne, CA. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires a HS diploma (or equivalent) and prior retail or service experience. You must lift 30–50 lbs and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and team members.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
