Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in print, signs & graphics, and shipping, responsible for taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. They operate and maintain equipment, handle complex projects, manage retail supplies, and complete tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in store functions
• Assist in training store team members

Service

• Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand customer needs
• Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping, recommending appropriate products and services
• Ensure outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, suggesting solutions, and resolving issues promptly
• Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing, and assemble parcels for shipping
• Set up and operate printing, binding, and related equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly store environment

Profit

• Handle customer data carefully and process transactions accurately, including cash handling
• Maintain and stock printing and shipping equipment and supplies
• Display retail products and signage properly
• Prevent errors and waste proactively
• Complete financial paperwork and assist with reporting
• Adhere to company policies and legal requirements

• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
• Operate independently with minimal supervision

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of specialized experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Stand for entire shift (excluding breaks)
• Lift and move up to 55 pounds
• Bend and twist at waist and knees regularly
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
• Work cooperatively and follow instructions
• Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain attention and concentration over extended periods
• Work with minimal supervision
• Report regularly to work and support store hours as required
