Job summary

Family Dollar in Waco, TX is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, process sales at the register, and help keep the store stocked and organized.

The role requires in-person work, good communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Previous retail or customer-service experience is preferred, and you’ll be part of a team focused on safety, service, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail/customer service experience highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks for stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
