Job summary

Family Dollar in Raleigh, NC seeks a Customer Service Associate to support customers, process transactions, and keep the store clean and stocked. You will assist customers, help unload merchandise, and maintain a safe, friendly store environment. The role requires physical ability to lift and stand for long periods.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or customer service experience. This is a part-time position with a focus on excellent service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
