Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our store team and provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the cash register, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and secure.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties. Part-time hours are available and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform manual tasks including walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
