Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, stock shelves, and help unload shipments while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

We value friendly, reliable team members with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Part-time role, on-site in Chincoteague, VA with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Retail customer service experience in various settings is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform related physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness
