Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC in Dillwyn, VA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires good customer service, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
