Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at our Aston, PA location. You will assist customers, handle transactions, maintain store cleanliness, stock merchandise, and support safe, friendly interactions with customers and team members.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred), retail or service experience, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, strong communication and organizational skills, and the willingness to follow instructions and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education
