Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Absecon, New Jersey, is seeking a part-time retail associate to assist customers, process transactions, and maintain store appearance. You will help unload trucks, stock shelves, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The role requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and to stand and walk for extended periods. Prior retail or customer service experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
