Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will engage with shoppers, support merchandising, and assist with unloading merchandise as needed.

The role emphasizes friendly service, safety, and teamwork with leadership and fellow associates at our New Jersey location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks
• Stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
