Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Newark, Delaware is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions, and keep the store clean and well-stocked.

The role involves assisting customers, stocking shelves, unloading trucks, and ensuring a friendly, efficient shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
