Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Tennessee LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, and maintain a safe, clean store environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and a proven customer service background. Part-time position with on-site duties in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
