Job summary

Dollar Tree in California is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales at the register, and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.

You will maintain a positive, safe environment, ensure neat store conditions, and perform cleaning duties. The role requires good communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drugstore preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentable areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
