Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires ability to lift 30–50 lbs, strong customer service and communication skills, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced retail setting. This on-site position offers opportunities to engage with customers daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
• Keep the store clean and restock bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
