Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Point Pleasant, NJ is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires high school diploma (preferred) and relevant customer service experience. Expect physical tasks like lifting 30–50 lbs, standing, and frequent movement within the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
