Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store neat and well-stocked.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and physical activity such as stocking, cleaning, and unloading merchandise. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus prior customer service experience in retail or similar environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
