Job summary

Family Dollar in Marion, North Carolina, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions, keep the store stocked, and help unload and stock merchandise.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent and strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. This is a part-time position based in-store with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and restocking.
• Other duties as assigned.
