Job summary

Family Dollar in Pilot Mountain, NC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. Duties include assisting customers with questions and recommendations, managing transactions at the register, and keeping the store clean and stocked.

This part-time role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong communication, and reliability. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
