Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Hazel Crest, IL is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, stocked store.

Responsibilities include processing sales, unloading shipments, stocking and merchandising, and ensuring safety and courtesy in all interactions with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues
