Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Columbus Junction, IA. You will help customers, process sales at the register, and ensure a clean, organized store environment.

You will assist with stocking, receiving shipments, and maintaining safety and friendly interactions with customers and fellow associates. Part-time hours and opportunities to grow within the company are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and stock replenishment unloading
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash
• Other duties as assigned
