Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a Customer Service Associate in Lancaster, OH to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, handle sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

You will unload merchandise and maintain safety and a respectful environment for customers and colleagues. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
