Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and help with stocking and store maintenance.

This role emphasizes customer service excellence, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Part-time hours are available at the Coldwater location, with opportunities to grow within the store team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height; capable of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
