Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Bordentown, NJ is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to assist customers, ring up purchases, and provide friendly service on the sales floor.

You will help maintain stock, unload shipments, keep the store clean, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers and teammates.

This role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain store security and protect assets.
• Keep the store stocked and restock merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and presentable store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
