Job summary

Family Dollar in Cameron, TX is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help maintain store standards.

This part-time role requires reliable teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training on store operations is provided; benefits include basic health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
